US & Canada’s rig counts increase w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on January 13, the US’ rotary rig count was up by 3 units to 775 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas decreased by 2 units to 152 units, and that for oil rose by 5 units week on week to 623 units. The total number had a year-on-year growth of 174 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count increased by 38 units to 227 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally increased by 36 units from the same period a year ago.
