US’ OCTG imports rise in Nov m-o-m, y-o-y

According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 232,300 tons of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) in November last year, rising by 36.5% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 23% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the imports from Ukraine occupied the largest share, totaling around 32,000 tons, a month-on-month surge of 174.4% and a year-on-year increase of 40.4%. Other main import sources included Saudi Arabia (around 28,900 tons), Japan (around 19,300 tons), Taiwan (around 19,100 tons), and Mexico (around 12,000 tons).

During the period, the import value amounted to roughly US$434 million tons, up by 26.9% month on month and by 72.6% year on year.
