According to statistics from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), vehicle production in December 2022 totaled around 239,500 units in Mexico, which increased by 4.4% year on year, the eighth consecutive increase.

The total production of vehicles in Mexico was 3.3 million units in 2022, up by 9.2% year on year. However, the amount in 2022 was still 13.2% less than 2019’s pre-pandemic level.

In addition, roughly 243,300 units of vehicles were exported in December 2022 and the over year export volume in 2022 was 2.86 million. The export amount was 5.5% higher than in 2021.
