South Africa suffered very bad weather recently. Heavy rain caused houses to collapse and roads caved in. Eskom transmission station was also affected. Several roads in Cape Town are flooded. In order to keep people from the possible risks, a lot of roads were closed.

City of Johannesburg Public Safety Minister David Tembe said the storm on December 9 was the heaviest. The worst affected area is Roodepoort. The infrastructure in Hursthill, Northcliff, and Lenasia was seriously damaged.

On December 12, City Power Johannesburg said they have over 4,000 cases of power cuts that needed to be dealt with. The Mayor of Johannesburg hoped Eskom can stop the three-day power restriction to help the hard situation in Johannesburg.
