South Africa's basic metal import & export value go down in Oct m-o-m

According to data from the South African Revenue Service (SARS), South Africa's export value in October of basic metals and other products totaled about US$808 million, a month-on-month decrease of 22.3%. In the first ten months, the export value increased by 24.7% year on year to US$9.8 billion.

In terms of imports, South Africa's basic metals and other product import value in October was around US$475 million, dropping by 3.6% month on month. From January to October, the import value grew by 19.6% year on year to US$4.7 billion.
