According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on November 26, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.63 million net tons, decreasing by 0.2% week on week and down by 11.1% year on year.

During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 72.8%, a week-on-week decrease of 0.2% and a year-on-year drop of 10%.

As of November 26, 2022, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 81.25 million net tons, dropping by 5.2% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 78.5%, decreasing by 2.8% year on year.
