Japan’s cold-rolled sheet and strip shipment increases in Sep m-o-m

According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s shipment of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled around 421,000 tons in September this year, up by 10.7% compared to the previous month but falling by 12.5% from the year-ago level.

Among them, approximately 52% of them were shipped to the domestic market, and the residual was sent to export markets.

During the same period, Japan’s production of cold-rolled sheets and strips totaled roughly 366,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.3% and a year-on-year drop of 24%.
