Taiwan’s wire rod market to keep low level until Q2 2023

After Taiwan’s wire rod producers announced their new list price, the demand for wire rods was still low. Also, both domestic and foreign raw materials were highly competitive, and some wire rod manufacturers decided to continue cutting their production.

A wire rod producer said that the US market was hard to recover this year because of high global inflation, which will impact Taiwan’s screw export.

Apart from that, Taiwan’s manufacturing industry was under recession, including extended time to consume inventory and shipment. The market was expected to stay low level until the second quarter of next year.
