US’ mechanical tube exports rise in Jul y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 5,500 tons of mechanical tubes in July this year, falling by 20% compared to the previous month but going up by 22% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 2,700 tons, a month-on-month increase of 0.6% and a year-on-year drop of 9.8%. Canada ranked second with roughly 2,000 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$17 million, down by 28.2% month on month and up by 26.7% year on year.
