Brazil’s pig iron exports go up in Sep m-o-m

According to statistics from Brazilian Customs, Brazil exported around 397,000 tons of pig iron in September this year, up by 10.3% compared to the preceding month.

Among them, the exports to the US accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 322,000 tons, followed by Europe’s 51,700 tons and Asia’s 21,300 tons.

The exports during the period from Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo were 307,000 tons, those from Pará were 34,400 tons, and those from Mato Grosso do Sul were 56,000 tons.
