India’s Tata Steel is setting a plan for transition to low carbon technologies for steel mills in the UK and the Netherlands to reach the goal of manufacturing CO2-neutral steel by 2050 in Europe.

Tata Steel Netherlands said it is developing a combination of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) technology based on hydrogen and electric furnaces to gradually replace blast furnaces and coal in the next ten years.
