CBSA suggests maintaining AD & CVD orders on HRC imports from 4 countries

8 Dec 2021 16:10 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
According to the expiry review determinations made by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), the rescission of anti-dumping (AD) duty orders on certain flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from Brazil, China, and Ukraine and the revocation of countervailing duty (CVD) orders on same products from India is likely to lead to the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of subject goods from the above-mentioned countries.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will start investigations to determine whether the cancelation of these orders is likely to cause injury to the Canadian industry. The decision was scheduled to be announced no later than May 13, 2022.
