Walsin Lihwa, a leading stainless steel wire rod manufacturer in Taiwan, announced to raise its new prices for stainless steel wire rods for November.
According to the price adjustment, the price of 300 series was hiked by NT$3,000/ton, 400 series was up by NT$1,000/ton, and the export price for 300 series and 400 series was raised by US$100/ton and US$30/ton, respectively.
Walsin Lihwa pointed out that the capacity tightened due to China’s power curtailment and production limits. Besides, due to a surge in energy costs in Europe, energy surcharges ranging from EUR 130 to 200 have been charged since November. Steel mills in Asia also gradually increased their offers for November.
Therefore, considering the current industrial development and customer's conversion ability, Walsin Lihwa decided to moderately reflect raw material costs by raising its prices for November.
