RUSAL’s aluminum production grows in Q3 q-o-q

28 Oct 2021 15:01 reported by Joy Liu

RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, reported that its aluminum production totaled 943,000 tons in the third quarter of this year, up by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter. Among them, the output from its smelter in Siberia accounted for 93% of the total.

During the period, RUSAL’s aluminum sales totaled 915,000 tons, a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 11.8%, mainly due to the tight global supply chain and freight, causing goods in transit to be counted as inventory.

In the third quarter this year, RUSAL’s total alumina production kept basically flat at around 2.06 million tons, the bauxite output had a quarter-to-quarter reduction of 1.1% to around 3.8 million tons, and the nepheline mine output was up by 1.9% quarter-on-quarter to 1.12 million tons.
