Japan’s inventory of carbon steel flat steel imports rises in Sep m-o-m

According to statistics, Japan’s inventory of carbon steel flat products, including hot-rolled coils (HRC), cold-rolled coil (CRC), and steel plates, recorded at major ports of Tokyo and Osaka amounted to around 140,000 tons by the end of September this year, rising by 6.1% compared to the previous month, which was an increase for the second month in a row.
The increase in carbon flats inventory was partially due to the decreased production from the automobile industry, thereby dropping the consumption volume.
