EU imposes provisional AD duties on China's graphite electrode

The European Commission announced to impose a provisional anti-dumping (AD) duty imports of certain graphite electrode systems originating in China for a period of six months. The dumping margin was set in a range from 17.5% to 66.5%.

The products involved are classified under CN codes ex 8545 11 00 and ex 8545 90 90 (TARIC codes 8545 11 00 10, 8545 11 00 15, 8545 90 90 10 and 8545 90 90 15).

The investigation was launched on February 17, 2021 based on a complaint filed by Graphite Cova GmbH, Showa Denko Carbon Holding GmbH, and Tokai ErftCarbon GmbH on January 4, 2021.

The period of investigation was from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
