Acciaieria Arvedi builds 2 new strip production lines at Servola plant

13 Oct 2021 16:09 reported by Vicky Wang

It was reported that Acciaieria Arvedi placed an order to Italian plantmaker Danieli, expecting to install two new strip processing production lines at the Servola plant in Trieste in northeastern Italy, which was scheduled to be commissioned by end of 2022.

HDGL uses the Danieli Kohler X-JET wiping system, which can accurately and uniformly control the weight of the zinc coating and can handle 200,000 tons of incoming coils a year.

The furnace is mainly used to process cold-formed, structural steel, micro-alloy steel, and hot-rolled steel. The 0.15-0.25 mm strip will not use direct flame but will be processed by the radiant tubes section. Low-NOX burners and waste gas heat recovery systems can also help the plant minimize emission levels.
