Japan's carbon steel sales have y-o-y growth in Jul, showing strong demand

According to the information from Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's domestic and trade sales of finished carbon steel increased by 9.5% year on year to about 5.16 million tons in July. The sales volume from January to July hiked by 12.8% year on year, reaching about 35.7 million tons. The data showed there are huge demands of domestic and trade markets.
JISF data showed that the most popular carbon steel type is hot-rolled coils (HRC). The sales in July grew by 0.8% year on year. The second most popular is medium thickness plate, whose total sales were about 742,000 tons in July, up by 3.8% year on year.
Besides, JISF's data showed that the carbon steel exports remained constant in July compared to the same month a year ago.
