India's JSPL obtains land to build steel plant

It was reported that Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has got the approval of the Indian Andhra Pradesh government to obtain 860 acres of land in the Nellore area of the state, where the company would invest 75 billion rupees to build an integrated steel plant with an annual output of 2.25 million tons for the production of TMT bars and wires.

The new steel mill was expected to create 2,500 and 15,000 direct and indirect jobs, respectively.
