According to the latest statistic from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the total output of nickel faced 45,000 tons surplus in the first 8 months of this year.
Compared to the same period in 2019, the market showed over 25,000 tons shortage last year.
Moreover, the inventory level of nickel this year was also 85,000 tons higher than last year, and the main reason was because of the Covid-19 epidemic impact, which caused many Chinese steelmakers to close their mills in the first few months of this year.
