Taiwan’s stainless steel HRC imports plummet in Sep m-o-m

According to statistics, Taiwan imported a total of around 57,000 tons of stainless steel hot-rolled coil (HRC) in September, plummeting by 31.79% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the imports from Indonesia accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 43,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 27.8%. China ranked second with around 10,400 tons, a significant month-on-month drop of 46.03%; followed by South Korea, the only country with an increase, with a volume of nearly 2,000 tons, a month-on-month hike of 20.56%. Japan ranked fourth with roughly 1,200 tons, sharply down by 45.74% from the previous month.
In the first nine months of this year, Taiwan’s stainless steel HRC imports amounted to around 689,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.43%.
