US makes CVD ruling on cold-drawn mechanical tubing from India

After the administrative review of countervailing duty (CVD), the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) determined that Indian producers/exporters of certain cold-drawn mechanical tubing of carbon and alloy steel (cold-drawn mechanical tubing), Goodluck India Limited (Goodluck) and Tube Investments of India Limited (TII), received countervailable subsidies during the period of review from September 25, 2017 to December 31, 2018.

Goodluck’s subsidy rate was set at 5.86% in 2017 and 5.21% in 2018. The final subsidy rate for TII was set at 4.27% in 2017 and 5.17% in 2018.

The CVD rate set in 2018 will be applicable this time from October 19, 2020.
