Turkish iron ore imports slide in Aug y-o-y

According to statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported approximately 798,000 tons of iron ore in August, sliding by 13.5% from the same month a year ago. Brazil was the largest supplier with about 380,000 tons.
In the first eight months of 2020, Turkey imported roughly 6.6 million tons of iron ore, which was lower than 7.2 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied about 3.6 million tons, Sweden was around 1.5 million tons, and Russia was about 830,000 tons.
