WBMS: Global primary aluminum market has oversupply of 1.148 million tons in Jan-Jul 2020

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market faced an oversupply of 1.148 million tons from January to July of this year, compared to an oversupply of 514,000 tons in 2019.
In the first seven months of this year, the global primary aluminum demand was 37.42 million tons, increasing by 0.6% from the same period in 2019.
During the same period, the global primary aluminum production had a year-on-year increase of 3.6%.
