Vietnam's steel products import rise in Aug y-o-y

According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), Vietnam imported about 1.6 million tons of steel products in August, rising by 25% year on year. The import value was around US$828 million, declining by 0.2% year on year.
In the first eight months of 2020, Vietnam imported approximately 9.7 million tons of steel products, going up by 0.9% from the same period a year ago. The main supplier included China, Japan, and South Korea.
Besides, based on the data from the General Statistics Office Of Vietnam, Vietnam imported roughly 14.6 million tons of steel products in 2019, increasing by 7.6% from the previous year.
