10 Aug 2020 15:35 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
After the US announced last Thursday (August 6) to impose a 10% tariff on Canadian aluminum imports from August 16, Canada planned to impose retaliatory tariffs of 3.6 billion Canadian dollars on US aluminum products, which will be put in force from September 16, according to Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.

The products in the Canadian tariffs list include aluminum rods, aluminum plates, refrigerators, bicycles, washing machines, golf clubs, and so on.

Chrystia Freeland stressed that the best result of the move was that the US could reconsider the tariffs on Canada.
