The Indonesian government had formulated an economic recovery strategy for the downstream mining industry which will attract investors to regard Indonesia as an investment destination.

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia, stated that the annual export value of Indonesian nickel ore was US$612 million before, and the export value of processed nickel products such as ferronickel and stainless steel is US$6.24 billion.

The lithium batteries will replace fossil fuels in future electric vehicles, and the demand for lithium batteries will increase which will be a benefit for Indonesia.
