It was reported that the Tangshan government has issued an emergency notice to further limit steel production in Tangshan, Hebei Province.

The government asked more steel manufacturers to suspend or limit their steel production from 18:00 on July 5 because the air quality hasn’t improved as expected. However, the government hasn’t disclosed when to restart the production.

After implementing the restrictive measures at the end of July, it was expected that the average daily output of molten iron to decrease by approximately 80,000 tons compared to the output in June.
