According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China imported a total of around 120,000 tons of aluminum scrap from January to February, dropping by nearly 61% compared to the same period a year ago.
The number of import approvals increased significantly, but the increased range was restricted due to the novel coronavirus epidemic and the Spring Festival.
In the first quarter of this year, the total amount of imported aluminum scrap approvals was approximately 285,000 tons.
