Canada's First Quantum agrees to supply copper concentrate to South Korea's LS Nikko in next 15 years

LS-Nikko Copper Inc, Korea's biggest non-ferrous metal supplier, had signed an order contract with First Quantum Minerals Ltd, a Canadian-based mining and metals company, to receive the supply of copper concentrate for 15 years.

The proposal had been launched two years ago, and it would be a milestone for both to sign the official contract last week.

According to the agreement, First Quantum might ship around 122,000 tons of copper concentrate to LS-Nikko every year, from Cobre Panama, one of a large open-pit copper development project in Panama.
