Taiwanese steelmakers suggest CSC to well adjust price for Q4

Both Baosteel and WISCO, two leading steelmakers in China, has raised their hot-rolled coil prices by RMB50/ton for September.
Affected by this, Taiwanese China Steel Corporation (CSC) might follow to increase its hot-rolled coil price for the fourth quarter (Q4).
According to CSC's downstream customers, CSC's domestic sales price has been higher than the international market since the beginning of this year. The company's listed price was also NT$500~800/ton higher than the deal price in the domestic market.
Due to high raw material cost, the downstream customers expected that CSC might increase the price for Q4. In considering the current weak demand, CSC might keep the price flat or increase the price by NT$300~500/ton. The downstream customers suggested CSC could stay the price firmly and created a favorable profit for the downstream distributors.
