According to two main stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. and Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) both expected to increase the stainless steel price because of the strong nickel price.

The London Metal Exchange (LME), the world center for industrial metals trading, had shown the nickel prices had stood on the US$13,000 level and were on the rise, and which pushed the market to increase their order power.

The market analyzed that the price for both companies might have a room for a rise of NTD$1000-2000/ton in the future.
