WBMS: Global refined nickel market experiences excess supply of 41,500 tons in Apr

According to the latest report from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global refined nickel market had a supply surplus in April. Worldwide refined nickel production in the month reached 331,500 tons, while consumption was 290,000 tons, resulting in a surplus of 41,500 tons.

In the first four months of this year, global production totaled 1.3121 million tons against a consumption of 1.1557 million tons, indicating a cumulative supply surplus of 156,400 tons.

Global nickel ore production in April was 341,600 tons, and the output in the January-April period amounted to 1.3108 million tons.
