US maintains AD & CVD orders on China’s steel wire rods

11 Dec 2025 16:37 reported by Joy Liu

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) announced on December 9, 2025, that it has concluded its five-year (sunset) reviews concerning carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod imports from China.

The Commission ruled that if the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) were lifted, material injury to the domestic industry would likely resume. Therefore, the existing tariffs on these Chinese products will continue to be enforced.

Chair Amy A. Karpel and Commissioners David S. Johanson and Jason E. Kearns were the affirmative voters.
