US extends AD & CVD duties on large diameter welded pipes from 6 countries

According to the notice on May 14, 2025, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) and the US International Trade Commission (USITC) have determined that revoking the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on large diameter welded pipes from Canada, China, Greece, India, South Korea, and Turkey would likely result in continued or recurred dumping, countervailable subsidies, and material injury to the US industry. Consequently, the USDOC would publish a notice to continue these AD and CVD orders.

The products involved are welded carbon and alloy steel pipes, excluding stainless steel, with a nominal outside diameter exceeding 406.4 mm, regardless of wall thickness, length, surface finish, grade, end finish, or stenciling. The large diameter welded pipes, subject to the order, are used for transporting various fluids and for structural applications such as piling. However, pipes produced solely to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) specifications for water and sewage pipes are excluded.

These products are under the HTSUS subheadings 7305.11.1030, 7305.11.1060, 7305.11.5000, 7305.12.1030, 7305.12.1060, 7305.12.5000, 7305.19.1030, 7305.19.1060, 7305.19.5000, 7305.31.4000, 7305.31.6090, 7305.39.1000, and 7305.39.5000.
