Turkey’s rebar exports significantly grow in Q1 2025 y-o-y

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 1.1 million tons of rebar in the first quarter of this year, significantly growing by 35% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The export value was up by 26% year on year to around US$592 million.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (268,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 98%), Romania (107,000 tons, a year-on-year rise of 25%), and Albania (76,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 29%).

In March alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 299,000 tons, a month-on-month drop of 15% and a year-on-year hike of 33%. These exports were worth around US$166 million, sliding by 15% month on month but rising by 24% year on year.
