According to statistics, Taiwan's slab imports in April remained stable at 25,000 tons, all sourced from Japan by Chung Hung Steel. Imports from Russia continued to be absent during this period.

However, the export market experienced a significant boost, substantially increasing by 77,600 tons. Thailand remained a key destination with around 28,000 tons, and the US emerged as a major export market in April, receiving about 49,000 tons. This was a notable resurgence of slab exports to the US after a period of eight months since the 48,000 tons shipped in August last year.
