Taiwan’s Dragon Steel hits 27-month revenue high in Apr

Taiwan’s Dragon Steel Corporation (DSC) reported a strong revenue of NT$7.77 billion for April, hitting the highest in 27 years. This figure represented a 21% increase from March and a 23.3% hike compared to the same month last year. Total revenue for the first four months of 2026 reached NT$25.52 billion, up by 8.8% year on year.

The surge was driven by rising shipment volumes. Shipments in April grew by 17% month on month to 280,000 tons, exceeding the monthly target of 260,000 tons. This performance resulted from a recovery in the steel market and rising prices.

With shipments growing for two consecutive months, the company expects its annual operating performance to improve significantly as market conditions stay favorable.
