Taiwan’s CSC successfully obtains Indonesia's SNI certification for cold-rolled and hot-dip galvanized products

Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC) has successfully passed the on-site audit conducted by the Indonesian certification body LSPro Surabaya in March 2025, with zero non-conformities. As a result, CSC received new SNI certifications for cold-rolled and hot-dip galvanized products on May 16, 2025, and extended its existing hot-rolled product certificate. This achievement ensures smooth customs clearance for CSC’s products into Indonesia and secures an annual export volume of approximately 29,000 tons under mandatory certification.

In response to Indonesia’s updated import regulations for steel products, which came into effect on May 20, 2025, CSC acted promptly to submit applications under the previous version of the regulation, thereby taking advantage of the one-year grace period for conversion.

The newly enforced law includes stricter requirements, such as updated HS codes, revised SNI standards (2024 editions), and new qualifications for local certification representatives.

The certification process required a comprehensive submission covering corporate documents, material and quality management, ISO 9001 system compliance, and labeling practices.

The audit team from LSPro Surabaya conducted on-site assessments of CSC’s production processes, quality systems, and product samples, with all 47 tested coils passing verification at Indonesian laboratories.

This success demonstrates CSC’s strong commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and market development. It not only guarantees uninterrupted shipments to Indonesia but also strengthens CSC’s presence in the Southeast Asian steel market.
