Taiwan’s Chung Hung Steel maintains flat domestic prices for September

Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a Taiwan-based carbon steel producer under China Steel Corporation (CSC), kept domestic prices flat for hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and galvanized products for September, setting hot-rolled base prices near NT$21,000, while October export prices will adjust based on regional markets.

Chung Hung said that moderating US inflation and expanding global manufacturing PMI support a mild worldwide economic recovery. Supply pressures are easing as major Chinese steel enterprises reduce daily crude output and lower factory inventories.

Supported by stable raw material costs, firming steel floors, and price hikes from benchmark mills such as Baosteel, Chung Hung opted for flat pricing to boost customer competitiveness and sustain market confidence as seasonal demand recovers.
