Taiwan’s 400-series cold-rolled stainless steel imports grow 1% in June

According to statistics, Taiwan imported about 4,870 tons of 400-series cold-rolled stainless steel coil and sheet in June, hiking by 1.02% from May. China was the leading supplier, accounting for 84.23% of total imports, with Japan second at 8.29%.

Shipments from China rose by 4.14% month on month to 4,100 tons. Conversely, imports from Japan fell by 33.3% to 404 tons.

Average import prices across all sources rose 6.76% overall compared with May. Chinese import prices declined by 0.35%, while average prices for Japanese imports surged by 78.84% over the same period.
