Taiwan’s Ta Chen International, Inc.’s business remained strong although uncertainty still exists in Taiwan’s tariffs after the US-China trade truce. Experts in the steel industry observed robust daily shipments in April, showing continuous customer demand despite tariff concerns.

Ta Chen’s first-quarter revenue had double-digit growth, driving EPS to a seven-quarter high of NT$0.67. In April, the company’s revenue rose by 7.2% year on year to around NT$9 billion. The revenue in the first four months reached NT$35.1 billion, a year-on-year hike of 11.13%.

Low downstream inventories and manufacturing returning to the US due to the tariff policy are expected to sustain steel and aluminum demand. Ta Chen foresees a 17% and 13% annual increase in stainless steel and aluminum sheet and coil shipments this year.
