The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation targeting tinplate imports originating in China. Domestic manufacturers TCC Steel and Shinhwa Dynamics requested the action on June 19, 2026. The authority will analyze potential dumping activities throughout 2025, evaluating industry damage over a period spanning from 2022 to 2025.

The investigation focuses on specific cold-rolled steel sheet products plated with tin, chromium, or chromium oxide. These materials fall under HS codes 7210.11.0000, 7210.12.0000, 7210.50.0000, 7212.10.1000, 7212.10.2000, and 7212.50.9000.

Interested parties must register response documents within three weeks. The authority anticipates issuing a preliminary determination within three months, with the possibility of a two-month extension.
