SMS group has received an order from Baosteel Steel Pipe (Ma’anshan) Science and Technology Co., Ltd. to supply two PQF® seamless tube rolling lines in Ma’anshan, further strengthening the long-term partnership between the two companies. 

Under the contract, SMS group will provide the core equipment, level 1 automation system, technological measurement system, and CARTAneo® process technology software for both plants. 

Each seamless tube plant is designed to have an annual production capacity of nearly 1.18 million tons. The new facilities are intended to support Baosteel Steel Pipe’s premium seamless tube production capabilities. 

The first pipe production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027. The project marks another milestone in the cooperation between SMS group and Baosteel Steel Pipe in advanced tube manufacturing technology.
