Mexico’s Ministry of Economy (SE) has concluded its anti-dumping (AD) sunset review regarding micro-welding wire imports from China.

Under the final determination, the existing 18.97% ad valorem duty is replaced by a specific tax of US$1.02 per kilogram.

The products involved are solid carbon steel wire alloyed with manganese and silicon, coated with copper or not, in diameters from 0.6 to 1.6 mm. These materials are melted to join steel sections through an electric arc process and fall under TIGIE tariff codes 7229.20.01, 7229.90.99, and 8311.90.01.

This regulatory adjustment takes effect on the day after the official announcement.
