Mexico extends AD duties on China’s steel cables for 5 years

Mexico’s Ministry of Economy (SE) has concluded its second anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on steel cables originating in China.

Following an affirmative determination, the government decided to maintain an AD duty of US$2.58 per kilogram for an additional five years. This measure, effective from December 17, 2024, applies to products under TIGIE tariff codes 7312.10.01, 7312.10.05, 7312.10.07, and 7312.10.99.

The investigation period for dumping occurred from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, while the injury analysis spanned from October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2024.
