Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has successfully manufactured and supplied specialized pipes for the South Akçakoca Sub-Basin (SASB) gas field in the Black Sea, offshore Turkey, the first experience for the company in offshore pipe production.

The company delivered tubing fitted with its UPJ-M premium gas-tight connection, designed for a high level of gas tightness for shallow-water subsea operations. This unique feature addresses the specific challenges of offshore gas extraction in the region.

Artem Artemov, Interpipe's Sales Director for the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, said Turkey is now actively developing in Black Sea offshore gas fields and needs highly sealed connections in such environments.

Despite this being their inaugural offshore project, the pipes have been successfully installed and are now operational. This achievement lays the foundation for Interpipe’s future involvement in other offshore gas production projects.
