International crude oil prices plunge over 2% as OPEC+ plans further production increase

International crude oil prices fell over 2% on September 3, as markets focused on OPEC+’s meeting on the weekend, where the organization is expected to consider further increasing production targets for October.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for October delivery decreased by US$1.68 (2.56%), reaching US$63.91 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for November delivery fell by US$1.6 (2.31%), settling at US$67.54 per barrel.
