Indonesia starts AD sunset review on Chinese HRC imports

The Anti-Dumping Committee of Indonesia (KADI) launched an anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on April 2, 2026, regarding hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports from China.

This investigation, focusing on HS code ex 7225.30.90, responds to a request from PT Krakatau Posco and other local producers. Current evidence points toward recurring dumping practices that cause ongoing damage to the domestic industry.

This legal process follows a 2022 decision to impose AD duties between 4.2% and 50.2% for five years. KADI aims to determine if these measures must remain to prevent further market harm.

The review will conclude within 12 months, as officials evaluate the potential for continued dumping of Chinese HRC containing 0.0008% to 0.003% boron and/or 0.025% or less titanium.
