IAI: Global alumina output drops by 3% in Jun m-o-m

According to data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production totaled 12.147 million tons in June, falling by 3% from 12.53 million tons in the previous month.

Among them, production from China accounted for the largest proportion, with an estimated output of 7.2 million tons, followed by Oceania with 1.344 million tons and Africa and Asia (excluding China) with 1.221 million tons.

In the given period, chemical alumina output reached 714,000 tons, down from 777,000 tons in the preceding month; metallurgical alumina output was 11.433 million tons, sliding from 11.753 million tons in May.
